Bord Bainistíochta (B O M) Samhain 2009Ráiteas Aontaithe 3ú Samhain 2009
The Bord Bainistíochta met on 3ú Samhain 2009.
Go Raibh Maith Agaibh:
Ar dtús ba mhaith linn slán agus go raibh míle maith agat a rá le Dan Mc Cann a thug a lán cabrach agus comhairle agus am don scoil. D’fhreastail sé ar an mbord le bhlian anuas, agus anois ar fáthanna pearsanta caithfidh sé an bord a fhágail.
Bá mhaith linn fáilte mór a chuir roimh Éanna Ní Mhaoláin ó Kippure atá chun freastail ar an mbord in áit Dan. Tá áthas orainn go bhfuil Éanna sásta a taithí agus a ham a thabhairt don scoil. Go raibh míle maith agat a Éanna.
Firstly we would like to say ‘Slán’ and ‘Go raibh maith agat’ to Dan Mc Cann who has given a lot of help and advise and time to the school. He has served on the Board for a year, but for personal reasons has to leave his position.
We would like to welcome Éanna Ní Mhaoláin, from Kippure, who will serve on the Board in Dan’s place. We are delighted that Éanna has agreed to share her experience and time with the school. Go raibh maith mile agat agus fáilte a Éanna
Go raibh maith agat freisin to Níamh Ní Chearúil agus Ciarán Ó Murchú for their time in coaching the children hurling and football skills during PE class in recent months.
Go raibh maith agat speisialta do Choiste na dtuistí for all their hard work in the recent ‘Thorny Rose’. It was a fantastic entertaining night and a very successful fund raiser. Tá sibh iontach!
Obair:
The Board would like to thank all those involved with forthcoming jobs/improvements around the school and office. Go raibh maith agaibh!
Polasaithe/Policies:
The policy on splitting classes was approved.
Airgead/Finances:
The Board approved a list of payments.
Kilmalum:
Following several positive phone conversations with the Department of Education the Board is still fully confident that we are still on target for a September move. As the Department prepares to spend a lot of public money on the move to Kilmalum, there are details that are still being ironed out, and understandably the written confirmation cannot be given until all these are completed. And as a lot of professionals and different public bodies (Department, VEC, Kildare Co. Co. etc) are involved this takes time. But it is still a positive albeit a slow process.
Plean Scoile/School Plan
The Board heard details of curriculum plans for Visual Art and Physical Education.
An Foras Pátrúnachta
The Board sent a small gift and message of appreciation to Dónaill Ó Connaill as he steps down from his position as secretary of the school patron, an Foras Pátrúnachta na Scoileanna Lán Gaelach.
The next meeting will be on 8ú Nollag (6 a chlog).
