Aonach an Earraigh (Spring Fair)

Aonach an Earraigh - Spring Fair

Gaelscoil na Lochanna’s first Aonach an Earraigh will take place this coming Sunday, 21st March from 11am-3pm in St. Kevin’s Hall, Blessington.

As previously advised this event is a school fundraiser to raise funds to purchase sports jerseys and a full set of hurls and helmets for the school (helmets are approx. €70 each).

Phyllis and the Coiste would like to thank everyone who has already donated their unwanted clutter or crafts to this worthy cause and to those who have volunteered to help.

To those who haven’t yet had a ‘spring clean’, we still need your clutter!
There’ll be a wide range of stalls; Bric-a-Brac, Children’s DVDs/Videos, 2nd hand Books (children’s and adults), Toys, Clothes (with tags) and Bottles (anything from washing up liquid to gin to Heinz tomato ketchup to wine to shampoo – the quirkier the better!)  If you have any items in good condition which could be sold on any of these stalls, they would be much appreciated. Please place them in the Bosca Mór sa chlos on/before Friday or see a member of the Coiste if you need them collected.

We’re also going to have a MONSTER RAFFLE so if during your ‘spring clean’(!) you find any suitable items for raffling, please also place them in the Bosca Mór.

Homemade produce (cakes, etc.) and plants (they don’t have to be in bloom) would also be very welcome closer to the day for the Home produce and Plant stalls. If you are ‘crafty’ any craft would be especially appreciated - there’ll be a stall of unique hand-made items produced by local artistes.

ÓGLAIGH / VOLUNTEERS? We’re still very much so 'OPEN' for volunteers! Anyone who is available to help out on the day (even for an hour or so) would be MOST WELCOME!  Or, perhaps you’d be willing to dress up as Clifford or know someone else who would?(!) – if so, please let a member of the Coiste know.

We’re also delighted to now be able to announce that there will be a Master Class in Dough Art on the day for Rang 1, 2 & 3. As we’ll be supplying the ingredients, we need to collate numbers in advance so if your children would like to attend, please contact Clare Gowran (Mamaí Tom R1 agus Ailbhe Rang 2) on (087) 643 9367 or see her sa chlos for further details. €5.50 per child or €10 for two children.
