Bord Bainistíochta (B O M) Aibreán 2010Ráiteas Aontaithe 19ú Aibreán 2010
The Bord Bainistíochta met on 19ú Aibreáin and approved the following statements.
Cill Moloma
Plans are well underway for the move to our new home. The school’s appointed design team / solicitors are endeavouring to have everything in place in time. The board wishes to thank Coiste na dTuistí for their help in organising teams of helpers closer to the move.
Seomra Breise / Extra room
The board has agreed in principal to rent or purchase an extra general purpose room for Cill Moloma, with an estimated cost of €20,000 - €30,000. This room would be the long term substitute for not having a hall and could be used throughout the year for rainy days, assemblies, meetings, library space, extra tuition, art displays, choir space, etc.
Further details have not yet been agreed.
Airgead
The Board heard a full report of school accounts and approved a usual list of payments.
The board approved a new lease for photocopying services (ahead of our move and expansion).
As previously communicated hurleys, helmets and jerseys will be purchased from Aonach an Earraigh proceeds. The Board wishes to thank our wonderful parents for their constant support. The fundraising account has a current balance of €25, 202.
Foireann 2010/11
Because of our expanding numbers, the school has now qualified for 2 full time teaching posts. (The learning support post has now become a full time post). Múinteoir Jacqueline will be leaving us as the full time hours don’t suit her, and Múinteoir Amy will take the position of full time learning support teacher.
The board thanks Múinteoir Jacqueline for all her great work and wishes her all the best and we’ll still see her at the other side of the school gate collecting Jack agus Céit.
Coiste na dTuistí
The Board were delighted to learn of new ideas coming from our hard working Coiste na dTuistí. A Foireann Tír Radharca (Landscaping Team) for Cill Maloma has been set up with Cóilín Ó Tuthail (daidí Saoirse) agus Claire Gowran (mamaí Ailbhe agus Tom) at the helm. Tá alán obair ar siúl, lots of hard work going on. GRM agaibh!!
Bóthar Nua / New Road N81
The Board discussed the plans for the new N81, and is draughting a submission to ensure the Gaelscoil is considered and suitable access will remain for the Baltinglass side to our new site.
The next Board meeting is scheduled for Meitheamh/June 21.
